Children’s Ministry
Nursery Caregiver – Adult

Christmas Decorator Team
Join the Children’s Ministry team to decorate for the Christmas season! Helpers would decorate trees, hang lights, arrange various holiday decor. Time Commitment: 3-5 hours during the Nov. 25-28 week for set up & 3-5 hours during the Jan. 6-9 week for take-down. Requirements: An eye for decorating and a heart for serving. Mid-Week Craft and Supplies Prep
Assist with cutting, sorting, organizing, distributing craft supplies for the Sunday morning team. Time Commitment: Daytime or evening; Weekly or bi-weekly from Sept. until June, approx. 2 hours/week. Requirements: Servant heart & attention to detail. Contact: childrens@eastview.org.
One-on-One Care for Special Needs
Assist with guiding a special needs child through the activities of a Sunday morning kids worship service. Time Commitment: Every other Sunday during first service. Requirements: Love working with children & Safe Places Training and Screening. Contact: childrens@eastview.org
Facility Care Team
Painting Crew
Do you love a fresh coat of paint? From time to time rooms need to be repainted, if you enjoy painting, please volunteer and put your skills to work.
Sunday Morning Facility Care
be available for a last minute set up need, provide an quick clean up, Check the washrooms, Lock up the church at 1pm.
Available 1 Sunday a month from 8am – 1pm.
Dusting Crew
If you enjoy the simplicity and autonomy of, and the refreshing feel after a good dusting, consider volunteering in this area. Even in winter, this job is never done. Please reach out to info@eastview.org. Availability needed: a morning or afternoon, 1-2 times a month.
Lawn Care
If you enjoy the tranquility of a morning or afternoon spent riding a lawn mower, with time to think and gain that summer glow, consider committing time to beautify & maintain Eastview’s green. Please reach out to info@eastview.org. Availability needed, 2-3 hours up to twice monthly during the visibly green & growing months.
Gardening
If you appreciate the satisfaction of a morning or afternoon spent digging in the dirt, having some artistic licence with arranging new plants and flowers or are just looking for a socially acceptable way to scratch that itch in your brain (reads: weeding) while getting that summer tan, please reach out to info@eastview.org. Availability needed, more or less of 1-3 hours weekly in Spring/ planting season, then 1-3 hours twice monthly during the visibly green & growing months.
Fall and/or Spring-Cleaning day!
If you enjoy the refresh and reset that a good spring/fall cleaning offers, appreciate being part of a team with a quick and simple common goal, consider signing up for the next seasonal cleaning day. Tasks, among others, may include dusting, wiping, sweeping, washing & drying and paint touch-ups. Join the fight against dust and reach out to info@eastview.org. Availability needed: 3-4 hours one evening in Spring and one evening in Fall.
Repair and Leadership Gifts
If you know a member of Eastview whose life demonstrates a living faith in Jesus, as well as skill in identifying/ anticipating needed repairs and experience in leadership, this time and these skills are much desired. Eastview Church is eagerly searching for new voices on the Property and Finance team. Please reach out to leadership@eastview.org to recommend them. Availability needed: 1 monthly board meeting, twice annual general meeting, intermittent facility project attendance.
Class-2 Licence
Do you have a class-1 or class-2 licence? Then you’re exactly the right person to help Eastview’s little ones arrive safely at camp and come home filled with the Holy Spirit. You’re the one that can offer access to VBS or SOAR at Eastview by picking up and/or dropping off Kids from Keenleyside. You can expand the reach and effect of Eastviewers on youth events, marriage retreats or parenting retreats. Please reach out to info@eastview.org to commit to 1, 2 or even 3 events this ministry year.
Pick-up / delivery assistance
Do you have a strong pick-up truck and enjoy driving? From time-to-time materials (furniture, dirt, large tools) need to be transported to/from the church to help with facility care and maintenance. Loading and unloading is always accompanied and supported. Consider volunteering your time and resource once or twice each season as needed by reaching out to info@eastview.org.
55+ Team
Be part of the team that organizes a monthly gathering for senior and those recently retired.
Library Team
If you love books, encouraging others to read, then you should join the library team and serve with others who share your passion.
Communion Team
Communion Servers – Communion is served the last Sunday of each month. We need 6 servers for both services.
Worship & Tech Ministry
Special Events Team Member
Christmas Eve, Advent, Easter, Thanksgiving… are all major markers on the church calendar and we invite you to join a team of creative minded folks as we dream and create special moments for times like these.
Photography
Are you interested in taking photo’s? We are looking for a team of people to help take photos on Sundays and at events.
Electric Guitar
Do you play? Our Sunday morning music teams have a spot for you! Consider joining our team of creative and talented musicians as we work together to lead our community in Worship.
Worship Design Team
Working with a creative group of people to prayerfully think through how our services our planned, by adding or designing creative elements to enhance our Sunday experience. – i.e. Music, Drama, Art, Dance, Spoken Word, Visuals.
Acoustic Guitar Player
Have you ever wanted to learn guitar? Join our worship team! We’d be happy to teach you the basics and allow you the space to learn and jam with awesome musicians!

Life Group Leader
Lead a group of adults or Young Adults, providing care for the spiritual well-being and maturity of group members. This can be an individual position or a couple!
Prayer Team Ministry
Participate in praying for significant church events together with other followers of Jesus at Eastview!
Spiritual Mentor
Meet one-on-one with newly baptized members and walk through a discipleship pathway!
Community Outreach Co-ordinator/Team member
Lead, Plan or simply help out with community outreach events like the “Outdoor Movie Night,” “Christmas in the Neighbourhood,” “Remembrance Day Service” or “Canada Day Block Party” or dream up a brand new way to engage the community. We want to hear from you
Prayer Walk Co-ordinator
Co-ordinate seasonal prayer walks around Eastview’s immediate neighbourhood: Country-side Crossing.
Morning Bible Study Leader
Lead a group of peers in a morning bible study at Eastview or a local coffee shop.
Events and Hospitality
Kitchen Crew
Join the kitchen crew to prepare for, serve and clean up Eastview events where food is served. Examples include common meal, ministry appreciation events and outreach events.
Set Up & Take Down Crew
Be part of a team that arrives early or stays late to set up or take down tables and chairs, or to reset a room for the next ministry to use it.
Christmas in the Neighbourhood Set Up/Tear Down Crew
Set Up (or Tear Down) lights, Christmas decorations and other decor to transform our parking lot into a winter wonderland and engage our neighbourhood in the Good News of the Christmas Story. If you have something you can offer to this event, we’d love to hear from you.
Guest Services Ministry
First Impressions Team Member
Our First Impressions teams are made up of friendly, passionate people serving in areas like:
Greeters – being the front lines of a hello.
Ushers – helping people find their way.
Welcome Center – answering questions people may have.
Newcomers – where hosts help those first-timers or newest to Eastview find ways to connect and get to know the rest of us.
Decorating
If you have an eye and a special hand – or you are just interested in helping decorate our building for various themes, seasons, or just to make it look nice, then Decorating might be for you!
Head Usher
Lead a team to help people find seats, information, and a place to belong. Recruiting skills are helpful and a love for people is important!
Hall Monitor
This role is to provide general surveillance and to visit rooms where Vulnerable Persons are being supervised. Along with taking attendance of volunteers.
Youth Ministry
Large Group Sunday Teacher
On a rotation of 3 weeks, you would prepare for and share lessons on Sunday mornings, at 9:15am, based off curriculum provided by ministry lead that engages students, highlights Scripture, and is Holy Spirit led. Teaching experience isn’t required but is a bonus, we are looking for dynamic speakers who are eager share the Gospel with Middle School students.
Grade 5-6 Girls Small Group Leader
Meeting every Sunday morning during the first service (8:50am Sept-June) and occasionally on Friday nights to build relationships and encourage growth in faith to the group through activities, games, teaching, worship, and more.
Grade 5-6 Boys Small Group Leader
Meeting every Sunday morning during the first service (8:50am Sept-June) and occasionally on Friday nights to build relationships and encourage growth in faith to the group through activities, games, teaching, worship, and more.
Grade 7 Boys Small Group Leader
Meeting every Friday evening (6:45-9:30pm) during the school year, with the addition to occasional Sunday mornings, to build relationships and encourage growth in faith to the group through activities, games, teaching, worship, and more.
Grade 8 Boys Small Group Leader
Meeting every Friday evening (6:45-9:30pm) during the school year, with the addition to occasional Sunday mornings, to build relationships and encourage growth in faith to the group through activities, games, teaching, worship, and more.
Grade 8 Girls Small Group Leader
Meeting every Friday evening (6:45-9:30pm) during the school year, with the addition to occasional Sunday mornings, to build relationships and encourage growth in faith to the group through activities, games, teaching, worship, and more.
High School Huddle Leader
Meet with high school students between Sunday services for encouragement, exploration, and equipping towards serving in God’s mission.
Care Ministry
Spiritual Care Visitation Team
Visit people to encourage them read scripture and pray with them. People who need visits include shut-ins, people with health challenges and other members of our community and the community around us!
Newcomer Follow-up Team
Phone Eastview newcomers within 48 hours of their Sunday visit and connect them to Eastview Ministries that would meet their needs and interests.
Compassion ministry team member
People in our church often have a practical need that needs a timely response. Examples of needs we are serving include senior who needs a sidewalk cleared after a storm, a person with a disability who needs assistance with spring or fall cleaning, or someone who needs a ride to or from a ministry event or worship gathering. If you have a gift of helps, compassion or love to organize this is your place.
Practical Service Crew Member
Assist a person in need of practical help around the house or yard. Your availability is occasional for 1-3 hours.
Volunteer Driver (occasionally driving people)
Provide a ride for someone to get to and from a worship gathering or ministry event. Must have your own vehicle.
Volunteer Driver (Regularly Drive a Person)
Provide a ride for someone to get to and from a worship gathering or ministry event on a constant weekly or monthly schedule. Must have your own vehicle.
Volunteer Driver (occasionally driving stuff)
Available to do day time pick up and delivery of materials for ministry events, or delivery of a meal on behalf of the meal ministry. Must have your own vehicle.
Meal Ministry (regular or occasional)
Make a meal for a person or family in need.
